Finding the right pair of the best women’s golf shoes used to mean choosing from whatever was left after the men’s range was designed. That has changed. The 2026 women’s golf shoe market has finally caught up.
With genuine performance footwear built around how women’s feet are shaped, how far women walk on the course, and what women actually want from a shoe.
The problem is that most reviews still treat women’s golf shoes as an afterthought.
We did not. We walked 18 holes in six pairs across four rounds, testing grip on wet morning fairways, comfort over five hours of walking, and stability through full swings. This guide gives you the honest results.
Quick Answer: The best women’s golf shoe of 2026 is the FootJoy Premiere Series Packard Women’s ($200). It delivered the best combination of grip, support and all-day comfort in our testing. For the best spikeless option, the ECCO S-Casual Sport ($179.99) offers instant out-of-the-box comfort with no break-in period. For wide feet, the New Balance Fresh Foam Contend ($100) is the only shoe that gets this right consistently.
How We Tested Women’s Golf Shoes in 2026
We tested six pairs across four rounds on two courses over three weeks. Each shoe was worn for a full 18-hole round, not a range session.
We tested on a links-style course with firm, dry turf and on a parkland course with soft, wet morning fairways.
Our testers included a 12-handicap player who walks every round, a 24-handicap player new to the game, and a player with wider feet who has struggled to find a comfortable fit for years.
We assessed grip during the swing and when walking downhill, comfort over five-plus hours, waterproofing in wet grass, and fit across narrow, standard, and wide foot shapes.
No shoe made this list based on how it looks. Every recommendation came from how it performed on the course.

Full Women’s Golf Shoe Reviews
1. FootJoy Premiere Series Packard Women’s — Best Women’s Golf Shoe of 2026
FootJoy has made the best women’s golf shoes for years. The 2026 Premiere Series Packard is the clearest proof yet. We wore these for 18 holes on a wet parkland course in week two of our testing.
The seven-cleat outsole gripped through every swing, including a steep downhill lie on the 14th fairway, where two other shoes we tested had slipped slightly.
The full-grain leather upper shed water cleanly throughout a morning round where the dew had not lifted until the seventh hole.
The fit is structured and supportive without feeling stiff. FootJoy updated the foam collar and molded tongue for 2026, and the difference is noticeable from the first hole.
There is no rubbing at the heel and no pressure points at the toe box, which has a traditional shape that suits medium-width feet well.
One honest note: the Premiere is not the shoe for wide feet. The last runs traditional and snug. If you need extra width, the New Balance Contend reviewed below is the better choice.
Best for: Golfers who walk the course, play in variable conditions, and want a shoe that performs on the course and looks polished in the clubhouse.
One honest weakness: The traditional toe box does not suit wide feet. Narrow to medium fit only.
If you have been playing in shoes that were not built for a woman’s swing and gait, this shoe will immediately feel like a difference.
2.adidas Tour360 24 Women’s — Best Waterproofing
We tested these on the wettest morning of our trial, a four-hour round with overnight rain still sitting on the fairways. Our feet stayed completely dry for 17 of 18 holes.
The 360WRAP design wraps the upper material around the heel and midfoot, locking the foot in place during the swing in a way that standard lace-up shoes do not match.
We noticed this most on the par-four 11th, a dogleg that required a full drive from a slightly uphill stance.
There was no lateral slippage at impact, which builds real confidence over a round. The Boost midsole provides genuine cushioning over 18 holes. By the back nine, other shoes in our test had started to feel firm underfoot.
The Tour360 maintained its cushioned feel to the last green. The trade-off is weight. These are the heaviest shoes in this test, and golfers who prioritise a lightweight feel when walking will notice it over a full round.
Best for: Golfers who play in wet conditions frequently, or who prioritise stability and cushioning over a lightweight build.
One honest weakness: Heavier than every other shoe in this test. Takes one to two rounds to fully break in.If you regularly tee off in wet conditions and finish rounds with damp feet, this shoe solves that problem for good.
3. ECCO S-Casual Sport Women’s — Best Spikeless and Best Instant Comfort
Most golf shoes need a break-in period. We put these on for round one of our testing, and they felt broken in already. ECCO’s FLUIDFORM cushioning works from the first step.
The OrthoLite insole adds a layer of support that makes walking feel noticeably easier on the back nine. We covered 5.2 miles across 18 holes in these shoes and felt less fatigue in the feet and ankles than in any spiked shoe we tested.
The E-DTS outsole delivers 800 individual traction angles across the sole. On dry turf this matches spiked shoes for stability during the swing.
On a wet morning, the grass falls slightly behind the Premiere and Tour360, though the difference was small enough that it would not affect most recreational rounds.
ECCO shoes run slightly narrow. We found this to be true again here. If you are between sizes or have a medium-to-wide foot, size up by half a size.
Best for: Golfers who want all-day comfort without a break-in period. Ideal for social golfers, walkers, and anyone whose feet tire easily over 18 holes.
One honest weakness: Runs narrow. Size up half a size for medium or wider feet. If your feet have been talking to you on the back nine for years, these are the shoes that finally make them stop.
4. FootJoy Traditions Women’s — Best Classic Style Under $150
At $130, the FootJoy Traditions Women’s is the best value spiked shoe in this test, and it does not feel like a compromise.
The full-grain leather upper is waterproof and holds up on soft morning fairways without any leaking through the seams. The low-profile Pulsar cleats provided reliable traction in all conditions we tested.
We completed a full 18-hole round without any slipping during swings, the basic requirement for a golf shoe, and one that the Traditions met consistently. The cushioned insole is comfortable without the premium feel of the Premiere or ECCO.
By the 15th hole, we noticed slightly more fatigue than with those two shoes. For golfers who ride in a cart most of the time, this will never be an issue. For those who walk 18, the comfort difference becomes apparent over the final third of the round.
The Traditions comes in extended widths, which sets it apart from the Premiere and makes it a strong option for golfers who need a wider fit at a lower price.
Best for: Golfers who want classic spiked performance and waterproofing at an accessible price. Available in extended widths.
One honest weakness: Cushioning does not match the premium options over a full 18-hole walk. If you have been putting off buying proper golf shoes because the price felt hard to justify, the Traditions removes that obstacle.
5. New Balance Fresh Foam Contend Women’s — Best for Wide Feet
Wide-fit golf shoes for women are rare. Most brands offer one width in their women’s line and call it done. New Balance does not do this.
The Fresh Foam Contend comes in multiple widths, and the D-width fits a genuinely wide foot without the upper pulling across the forefoot.
Our tester, who has struggled with every golf shoe she has ever owned for this exact reason, completed a full round without any discomfort at the toe box for the first time in her golfing life. That is a specific and meaningful result.
The Fresh Foam midsole provides strong walking comfort. Additionally, the spikeless TPU outsole worked well on firm turf throughout our testing.
On very soft, wet turf, it fell slightly behind the spiked options in grip during the swing, though not enough to cause any instability on normal course conditions.
Best for: Golfers with wide feet who have never found a golf shoe that fits properly. This is the one.
One honest weakness: Slightly less grip than spiked options on very soft, wet turf. If every golf shoe you have ever tried has felt too narrow across the forefoot, the Contend was built for your foot.
6. Skechers GO GOLF Jasmine 2 Women’s — Best Budget Women’s Golf Shoe
At $80, the Skechers GO GOLF Jasmine 2 costs less than half the price of the FootJoy Premiere. In our testing, it earned its place in this review without apology.
The Move Foam insole provides cushioning that feels closer to a $150 shoe than a sub-$100 one. We wore these for a full round, and the comfort held through the back nine.
The GRIPFLEX outsole uses replaceable Softspikes, which means you get the traction of a spiked shoe with the option to replace worn cleats rather than replacing the shoe. For golfers who play twice a week through the season, that practical detail matters.
The waterproof design held adequately in light morning dew, but is not in the same category as the adidas Tour360 in heavy rain or standing water.
Furthermore, the lateral support during the swing is slightly softer than the stiffer-soled premium options, which experienced players with fast swings will notice.
Best for: Beginners, occasional golfers, and anyone building a first proper golf kit on a tight budget.
One honest weakness: Waterproofing and lateral stability fall below the premium options. Not the right choice for fast swingers who demand maximum ground contact.
If you want to stop playing golf in trainers without spending $200 on your first pair of proper shoes, the Jasmine 2 is exactly where to start.
Women’s Golf Shoes Buying Guide: What to Look For
Most golf shoe guides are written by men, tested by men, and sold to women as an afterthought. This guide is not. Here are the four questions that matter most when choosing the best women’s golf shoes.
Spiked or spikeless — which is right for you?
Spiked shoes provide better grip during the swing, particularly on wet turf or sloped lies. They are the right choice if you play competitively, walk the course regularly, or play on soft parkland courses.
Spikeless shoes are lighter, more comfortable for long walks, and transition off the course better. They are the right choice if you play occasionally, prefer walking comfort over maximum grip, or play mostly on firm, dry courses.
In our testing, the grip difference between top spiked and top spikeless options on normal dry course conditions was negligible. The gap widens noticeably on wet mornings.
Do you have wide feet?
This is the most underserved need in women’s golf footwear. Most brands produce one width in their women’s range.
If the toe box of every golf shoe you have tried pulls across your forefoot, you need a shoe offered in a wide fit.
The New Balance Fresh Foam Contend and FootJoy Traditions are the two options in this test available in extended widths.
How much should you spend?
| Budget | Best Pick | What You Get |
|---|---|---|
| Under $100 | Skechers Jasmine 2 ($80) | Reliable comfort and grip for occasional golf. Replaceable spikes. Not premium but fully functional. |
| $100 to $160 | FootJoy Traditions ($130) | Genuine waterproofing, full-grain leather, classic style. Best value in a proper spiked shoe. |
| $160 to $210 | ECCO S-Casual Sport ($179) | Premium spikeless comfort with instant fit. Best for golfers who walk and prioritise comfort. |
| $210 and above | FJ Premiere | Tour-level grip, premium materials, best-in-class performance. Worth the premium if you play regularly. |

Do you need waterproof shoes?
If you play early morning rounds with dew on the fairways, yes. Wet feet at hole three will affect your round, your concentration, and your enjoyment of the game.
The adidas Tour360 24 Women’s provides the strongest waterproofing in this test.
The FootJoy Premiere and Traditions also waterproof reliably. If you play primarily in the afternoon on dry courses or in a warm climate, a water-resistant spikeless shoe is sufficient. Paying for full waterproofing when you rarely encounter wet conditions is unnecessary.

Spikeless shoes are lighter, more comfortable for long walks, and can be worn off the course.
For competitive or regular play on soft courses, spiked is the better choice.
For occasional golf on firm, dry courses, spikeless performs well and offers more everyday versatility.

It comes in multiple widths, including D-width, which accommodates a genuinely wide forefoot without pressure.
The FootJoy Traditions Women’s also comes in extended widths at a lower price point.

FootJoy dominates LPGA Tour usage, with the Premiere Series the most-worn shoe on tour.
The adidas Tour360 is also widely worn. Both shoes are in this guide.
Tour preferences are a useful signal, but remember that tour players have custom fits that are not available off the shelf.
Spikeless women’s golf shoes transition well off the course. The ECCO S-Casual Sport and New Balance Fresh Foam Contend both look and feel like casual trainers.
Spiked shoes are course-only because the cleats damage indoor flooring and hard surfaces. If you want one shoe that works on and off the course, choose a spikeless option.
